Terry Built LLC was founded on a simple conviction: treat every project as if it were my own home.
What started as small-scale handyman work quickly revealed itself as something more. My skills, my standards, and my drive pushed me toward larger, more complex projects — and in 2022, I found the mentor who would shape the next chapter of my career.
At a job site on E. Foster Street, I met Louie Zember — a 73-year-old master builder from Orange County with decades of experience building custom beach homes, schools, and hospitals. Louie had retired to North Idaho, but his calling never left him. He continued serving his community and those in need, and it was under his guidance that I learned what it truly means to run a job: with skill, integrity, and accountability to the people who trust you.
I spent four years working alongside Louie, building everything from decks and mailboxes to a private school. That foundation — both technical and ethical — is the backbone of Terry Built today.
In January 2024, I obtained my contractor's license and insurance, and launched Terry Built LLC with my wife by my side managing the books and office operations. My brother Benjamin joins me on projects when the work allows, and I hope one day that collaboration grows into something lasting.
I believe if God put this work in front of me, it's mine to do well. That belief drives every estimate, every nail, and every conversation with a client.
